What a wonderful day for the 100th start of the Boston Marathon in Hopkinton! It was a treat to cheer on the runners as they started their journey to Boston. A great job to the Boston Athletic Association, the Hopkinton Marathon Committee, and all of the public safety partnes for ensuring the event was safe and fun for everyone.

I just dropped off the donations from Hopkinton Town Hall where residents and employees of Town of Hopkinton, MA donated gifts for local families to Project Just Because for their annual gift drive. This drive is important to ensuring that everyone is able to enjoy their holidays, even when going through difficult financial situations. We are lucky to have such a wonderful organization in our community and also for having so many members of Town staff that want to support this community that they are also a part of. Thank you all!

Thank you to the @evergreencenter for your generous wreath donation to the Town of Hopkinton! For those who are not familiar, the Evergreen Center is an organization that provides integrated learning and living environments to children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and severe learning disabilities. By focusing on building skills around communication, academics, self-care, and social interaction; they prepare these young people to integrate into society by the time they graduate from the program.

Happy National Voter Registration Day!

It was a real treat to take a look back at Hopkinton's revolutionary past as the Boston Tea Party Ships & Museum placed a commemorative monument to honor Hopkinton resident John Dickman, who is interred at the Evergreen Cemetery in Woodville. This is part of a project to place these markers at the gravesides of all known participants in the Boston Tea Party ahead of the 250th anniversary of the event this December.

Today I joined 100 municipal clerks at Becon Hill for "Clerk's Day on the Hill" to talk with legislators about election laws and how we can improve voting for the people of Massachusetts and the cities & towns that implement the policies passed in Boston.

It was a great day for a run and support a good cause! We ran the @run4alstimlin 5k and it was Julia's first ever 5k (here is our before and after, still smiling)! Thanks to all of the sponsors and organizers. It has been 20 years that this race has been hosted in Hopkinton and a lot of resources have been raised in that time to find a cure for ALS.
